Notification Issued for Director Positions at Transco and Genco
Hyderabad, January 29 – The government has issued a notification for director positions within the power companies Transco and Genco. Energy Principal Secretary, Rizvi, has mandated the appointment of new directors to replace those whose four-year terms concluded last Saturday. Consequently, on Monday, Transco and Genco separately released notifications outlining the available positions.
Transco’s notification includes vacancies for three director roles: Director of Grid, Director of Transmission, and Director of Projects, along with a Director of Finance. Similarly, Genco has advertised five director positions: Director of Hydro, Thermal, Projects, HR & IR, Coal & Logistics, and Finance & Commercial.
The qualifications for these director roles are stringent. Candidates must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in the power sector. Additionally, they should have accumulated 25 years of service in State, Central Government, or Government Sector Organizations, with at least three years served at the level of CE, CGM, SE, or ED. Applicants must not exceed 62 years of age as of the notification date.
Those selected as directors will serve a two-year term, extendable twice a year.
In total, the notifications issued by the two organizations signify eight directorial opportunities within the power sector.
