Agriculture Minister Unveils Visionary Roadmap for Inclusive Agricultural Growth in Telangana
Hyderabad, January 31 — Tummala Nageswara Rao, the Minister for Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation, and Handlooms & Textiles, took the helm in a crucial meeting with Departmental Heads, officials, and agricultural consultants to chart a comprehensive roadmap for inclusive agricultural development in Telangana.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Nageswara Rao emphasized the need for a collective effort to transform the agricultural landscape of the state. He articulated a vision that encompasses innovative strategies and collaborative measures involving various departments. The meeting delved into discussions with officials from key departments, including Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing, Telangana Markfed, Telangana Oilfed, and Seed Corporation, along with agricultural consultants.
Consultants presented a spectrum of options and highlighted existing schemes, advocating for the infusion of emerging technologies to synchronize efforts across departments. Minister Nageswara Rao outlined a multi-faceted approach, stressing the importance of production planning, technology-enabled crop monitoring, the development of robust agricultural infrastructure, and the establishment of efficient market linkages through a digitized agricultural marketing system.
In his address, the Hon’ble Minister emphasized a pro-farmer agenda, calling for collaborative efforts from all departments and the formulation of policies conducive to creating a resilient agricultural ecosystem. Minister Nageswara Rao instructed each department to meticulously evaluate existing schemes and formulate a detailed plan with short, medium, and long-term goals for the transformation of agriculture in the state, harnessing the potential of emerging technologies.
