SRI VENKATESHWARA DHARMIKA SADASSU Commences at Tirumala
Tirumala, February 03
The Sri Venkateswara Dharmic Conference commenced with grandeur at Tirumala Asthana Mandapam on Saturday. Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Chairman of TTD Trust Board, delivered the opening speech, expressing the aim to propagate Sanatana Hindu dharma more extensively based on suggestions from abbots and prefects.

During his first tenure, Karunakara Reddy organized religious meetings, incorporating instructions and suggestions from prelates. Initiatives like Dalit Govindam, Matsya Govindam, and Girijana Govindam were introduced, bringing devotees closer to the divine. Notable projects honoring figures such as Annamacharya, Purandardasa, Kanaka Dasa, and Tarigonda Vengamamba, known for their service through Sankirtanas, are underway. Karunakara Reddy reminisced about establishing the SVBC channel and initiating Dharma Prachara during his earlier tenure.

Expressing concern about unwarranted criticism, Karunakara Reddy sought Swamiji’s blessings to re-engage in Dharma Prachara, intending to implement suggestions and instructions as guiding principles. He acknowledged the establishment of the Vedic University for Vedas’ preservation and pledged to rectify any mistakes with appropriate suggestions and advice.
The three-day conference, attended by Deans (Peetadhipathi’s) and Abbots (Matadhipathi’s) from various parts of the country, is set to conclude on Monday.
