South Indian superstar Allu Arjun recently discussed the expansion plans for his ‘Pushpa’ franchise, which made its debut in 2021.

Speaking about the upcoming release ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ Arjun expressed his enthusiasm for turning ‘Pushpa’ into a franchise, hinting at the possibility of a third installment. “You can definitely expect part three; we do want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup,” he stated.

Arjun revealed that a sizzle reel from the ‘Pushpa’ franchise is being showcased at the Berlin European Film Market to establish it as a recognizable brand for international audiences. Additionally, there will be a fan screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rise — Part 1’ during the event, marking Arjun’s first time attending the prestigious film festival in Germany.

Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa’ portrays the journey of Pushpa Raj, played by Arjun, a laborer who climbs the ranks of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate while confronting an egotistical police officer.

Reflecting on the film’s success, especially its streaming popularity on Prime Video, Arjun emphasized the significant reach of OTT platforms. He noted that ‘Pushpa’ garnered attention not only in India but also in overseas markets, attracting a diverse audience.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is slated for release on August 15, coinciding with Indian Independence Day. Arjun teased that the sequel would showcase a different side of Pushpa, promising grander characterization and larger-scale conflicts.

Arjun hinted at expanding the narrative beyond regional boundaries, exploring national and international dimensions in the sequel. The conflict between Pushpa and police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, portrayed by Fahadh Faasil, is expected to escalate significantly.

Looking ahead, Arjun expressed his commitment to taking on epic projects while maintaining the scale and impact of ‘Pushpa.’ He emphasized his desire to continue delivering high-quality cinematic experiences to audiences worldwide.
