Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, currently hospitalized due to illness, has announced her inability to participate in the party’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra scheduled for Friday in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district.
Taking to her social media platform, Vadra conveyed her well wishes to her brother and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, along with other party members embarking on the Nyay Yatra. She assured that she would join the Yatra as soon as her health permits.
Rahul Gandhi is spearheading the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, which is presently traversing through Bihar. The Yatra is expected to enter Uttar Pradesh late on Friday evening. Initially slated to join her brother in Chandauli after the Yatra entered Uttar Pradesh from Bihar, Vadra expressed her disappointment at missing the event due to her hospitalization.
She stated, ”I was eagerly waiting for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to reach Uttar Pradesh. But due to an illness, I had to be admitted to the hospital today itself. I will join the Yatra as soon as I feel better. Till then, I give my best wishes to all the Yatris — my dear brother and my colleagues from Uttar Pradesh, who are diligently preparing for the journey — reaching Chandauli-Banaras.” The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to span from February 16 to 21, with February 22 and 23 designated as rest days, and resuming again on February 24 to 25.
