Thursday, tragedy struck on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Patancheru as a horrifying road accident unfolded. An XL 6 car, veering out of control, slammed into the divider, causing chaos and devastation. Among the passengers was Cantonment BRS MLA Lasya Nandita(37), whose promising life was cut short in the blink of an eye. Despite efforts to save her, the MLA succumbed to her injuries at the scene, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by her constituents and colleagues alike. The driver, too, bore the brunt of the collision, sustaining grave injuries that necessitated urgent medical attention.

Just a week ago(February13), the news of an earlier brush with disaster emerged, further underscoring the fragility of life. On her journey back from a crucial BRS meeting in Nalgonda, MLA Lasya Nandita found herself confronting another perilous situation. Travelling in a Benz car from Hyderabad to Nalgonda, fate intervened in the form of a collision with a lorry at Narketpally In a stroke of luck, she emerged from the wreckage unharmed, defying the odds and evading tragedy momentarily. However, the cruel hand of fate would not be denied, as a fatal accident last night robbed her of her future, leaving behind unanswered questions and a community in mourning. As details of the second accident continue to unfold, the somber reality of her passing casts a pall over not only the political landscape but also the hearts of those who knew her.






Tragic Demise of MLA Lasya Nandita in Road Accident
In a heartbreaking turn of events, MLA Lasya Nandita, daughter of the late five-time MLA Sayanna, met with a fatal accident on the Charlapalli road.
Lasya Nandita, aged 37, had recently entered the political arena, stepping into the Legislative Assembly with enthusiasm and a sense of legacy, following in her father’s footsteps.
Cantonment constituency secured a significant victory over the closest rival, in the recent elections. Tragically, Lasya Nandita’s political journey, which began at the age of 27 with a stint as a corporator, was cut short by the fatal accident. Despite facing setbacks, including allegations of corruption during her tenure as a corporator, she endeavored to serve her constituents through initiatives like the Lasya Foundation, which provided aid to the underprivileged.
Accompanied by family members, Lasya Nandita was on her way to Sadashivapet Dargah when the accident occurred. The vehicle, a Maruti Suzuki XL6, collided with a lorry on the Outer Ring Road. Lasya Nandita succumbed to severe head injuries at the scene, while her companion Akash sustained a leg fracture. Akash, who was driving at the time of the accident, reportedly told authorities that he was in shock and couldn’t recall the details of the crash.
Following a postmortem at Gandhi Hospital, Lasya Nandita’s body was transported to her residence in Karkhana, where preparations for her funeral are underway. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered official formalities to be conducted for her funeral, a gesture that was notably absent when her father passed away. The untimely demise of Lasya Nandita has left a void in the political landscape, and condolences pour in for her grieving family.
