Telangana, March 4: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, speaking at a job appointment letters distribution event at LB Stadium on Monday, reflected on his journey from a Telugu medium government school to becoming the Chief Minister despite criticisms of his English proficiency. Reddy handed out appointment letters to 5,192 selected candidates for lecturer and teacher positions, highlighting his government’s achievement of issuing 30,000 appointment letters within just three months.
Reddy underscored the significance of empowering farmers, a vision initiated at LB Stadium, and praised the pivotal role of students, youth, and the unemployed in achieving Telangana statehood. He criticized the previous ruling family for failing to meet the aspirations of the youth and accused them of neglecting education infrastructure.
Recalling his own educational background, Reddy emphasized his schooling in a Telugu medium district-level government school, contrasting it with the focus on corporate schools in urban areas. He lambasted the previous government’s claims of establishing Gurukuls without providing adequate facilities, particularly for impoverished students.
Reddy condemned the closure of 6,000 schools under the pretext of rationalization by KCR and announced plans for the construction of residential schools for marginalized students in Kodangal constituency, with an investment of Rs. 150 crores, aiming to model them after universities.
