Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Reveals Major Contributors to Political Funds in Compliance with Supreme Court Guidelines

In accordance with Supreme Court guidelines and in collaboration with bankers, the Election Commission of India has unveiled the names of significant contributors to political funds. Topping the list is Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited, with a substantial contribution of 150 Crores, followed closely by Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital, extending support with 94 Crores.

Other notable contributors include Chennai Green Woods Private Limited, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (45 Crores), and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (32 Crores). The list encompasses a diverse array of entities ranging from pharmaceutical giants like Hetero Drugs Limited to real estate developers like IRB MP Expressway Private Limited.

This disclosure sheds light on the financial backing received by political entities, sparking discussions on transparency and accountability within the political funding landscape. The Election Commission’s unveiling of these contributions underscores the broader efforts to ensure fair and transparent electoral practices in accordance with Supreme Court directives and regulatory guidelines.
