Director General of Telangana Vigilance and Enforcement, Rajeev Ratan, a senior IPS officer, passed away on Tuesday morning due to a massive heart attack at AIG Hospital. Ratan, from the 1991 IPS batch, was renowned for his efficiency in service. Notably, he recently led the vigilance and enforcement inquiry into the Medigadda project, appointed by the government. Prior to this, he held positions such as SP Karimnagar and DG Pir Services, demonstrating his versatility in the field. His roles also extended to serving as Hyderabad Region IG and MD of Police Housing Corporation. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep shock at Ratan’s demise, recalling his invaluable contributions to the state’s police department over the years. The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Ratan’s family, emphasizing that Telangana society will always remember officials like Ratan who discharged their duties with efficiency and integrity.
