Title: NSE Warns Investors Against Deepfake Videos Misrepresenting CEO

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) issued a warning on Wednesday, urging investors to remain vigilant against fake videos or deepfakes depicting Ashishkumar Chauhan, the MD and CEO of NSE, purportedly recommending stocks.

These videos, created using advanced technologies like AI, mimic Chauhan’s voice and facial expressions to deceive viewers.

“Investors are cautioned not to trust such audio and videos and refrain from following any investment advice provided in them. NSE’s employees are not authorized to recommend stocks or engage in such activities,” stated the exchange in a released statement.

The NSE disclosed that it has initiated actions to remove these deceptive videos from social media platforms.

Official communications from the NSE are exclusively disseminated through its official website www.nseindia.com and the exchange’s official social media accounts.

“We urge everyone to verify the source and content of communications purportedly from NSE and to rely on information disseminated through our official channels,” cautioned the stock exchange in its advisory.

Investors are advised to cross-reference information from NSE or its officials with the official website www.nseindia.com to ensure its authenticity.
