Hyderabad, April 24 (Agency Name): Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao kickstarted a vibrant bus yatra across Telangana on Wednesday, intensifying the party’s campaign fervor for the impending Lok Sabha elections next month.

The former Chief Minister commenced the 17-day bus yatra by paying homage at the statue of Telangana Talli at the BRS headquarters in Hyderabad. Embarking on the journey alongside prominent BRS leaders, KCR set off for Miryalguda aboard a bus, marking the commencement of his outreach efforts.

Traversing through bustling locales such as L.B. Nagar, Chout Uppal, and Nalgonda, the bus yatra made its way to Miryalaguda. At each stop, KCR alighted to engage with farmers, listening to their concerns firsthand amidst the picturesque landscapes of Nalgonda district.

Scheduled to address gatherings in 40 towns spanning 12 out of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, KCR’s itinerary includes interactions with farmers to grasp the challenges exacerbated by water shortages, power disruptions, and untimely rains.

Amid scorching temperatures prevailing in the state, the BRS has taken proactive measures to ensure the comfort and safety of participants. In addition to deploying private security personnel, including bouncers, the party has arranged smaller buses where necessary to mitigate the impact of the heat wave.

Following the electoral setback to the Congress in the Assembly elections held in November 2023, the BRS has been diligently strategizing to regain momentum, particularly in light of key defections to rival parties. Despite recent challenges, the party remains resolute, bolstered by its strong showing of 39 seats in the 119-member House during the Assembly polls.

As the bus yatra gathers steam, K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s concerted efforts aim to reinvigorate grassroots support and galvanize voters ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections, underscoring the significance of Telangana’s political landscape in the broader electoral narrative.
