The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has deferred its ruling on the bail pleas filed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kavitha in connection with the ongoing liquor policy case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is slated to deliver its decision on Kavitha’s bail plea on May 2, while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is expected to announce its verdict on May 6. Throughout the hearings, both investigative agencies presented comprehensive arguments before the court.
During the proceedings, the legal counsel representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) articulated their stance against granting bail, engaging in nearly two hours of deliberation. It is anticipated that the defense attorneys representing Kavitha will submit a rejoinder by April 26 in response to the arguments presented by the investigative agencies.
The agencies contended that the allegations of an unlawful arrest lack merit, emphasizing the presence of substantial evidence in the liquor policy case to substantiate their position.
As the judicial process unfolds, the spotlight remains on the impending decisions of the CBI and the ED, underscoring the gravity of the legal proceedings surrounding BRS MLC Kavitha’s involvement in the liquor policy case.
