Twelve Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states are anticipated to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he files his nomination for a third consecutive term from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, as confirmed by a BJP official.
In addition to the Chief Ministers, numerous Union Ministers, such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Presidents of various NDA allies, are expected to grace the occasion.
The list of attendees is slated to include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Also anticipated are Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
Leaders from other political parties, including Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief Jayant Chaudhary, Lok Janshakti Party Chief Chirag Paswan, Apna Dal (S) President Anupriya Patel, and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party President Om Prakash Rajbhar, are slated to attend the nomination as well.
Prior to filing his nomination papers, the Prime Minister will pay homage to Maa Ganga at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and is expected to take a ceremonial bath in the holy river. He will also visit the Namo Ghat before proceeding to the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple to offer prayers.
Following these rituals, Prime Minister Modi will head to the collectorate to formalize his nomination. Subsequently, he is scheduled to convene with party workers at the convention center.
Interestingly, the filing of PM Modi’s nomination papers coincides with Ganga Saptami, occurring under the auspicious Pushya Nakshatra. Renowned astrologer Pandit Rishi Dwivedi noted that, according to scriptures, this alignment is significant due to the planetary positions.
