New Delhi, May 17, 2024 – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal has filed a formal complaint with the Delhi Police, detailing the harassment and torture she allegedly faced at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.
Allegations in the FIR
According to the FIR lodged by Swati Maliwal, she experienced chilling incidents of assault and brutality on May 13, perpetrated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary (PS), Bibhav Kumar.
Maliwal alleges that during her visit to the Chief Minister’s residence, Bibhav Kumar barged into the room, unleashed verbal abuse, and physically assaulted her without provocation. She described being slapped multiple times, verbally abused, and subjected to further physical violence, resulting in severe pain and trauma.
Account of the Incident
Maliwal recounted that despite her pleas for assistance, the assault continued relentlessly. She claimed to have been kicked repeatedly, with her shirt forcibly pulled up, causing further distress and humiliation. The incident left her in extreme pain, prompting her to seek help and eventually report the matter to the police.
