Tata Power Deploys Over 850 EV Charging Points in Key Metros
Mumbai, June 18, 2024 – Tata Power Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has announced a significant expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The company has deployed over 850 EV charging points in key metropolitan areas across India. This initiative is part of Tata Power’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
The new charging points include 144 strategically located stations across Mumbai. These stations can be found in prominent areas such as Backbay, Worli, Malvani, and the Shivaji Nagar-Mankhurd bus depots, ensuring easy access for EV users throughout the city.
In addition to the deployment of new charging points, Tata Power has also enabled the operation of over 2,300 public electric buses nationwide. This move is aimed at supporting the growing demand for eco-friendly public transportation and aligns with the government’s push towards electric mobility.
