Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Blames Former CM Jagan Reddy for Amaravati’s Decline

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched a scathing attack on former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of destroying the capital city of Amaravati since taking office in 2019. Naidu claims that the developmental prospects of Amaravati have been severely hampered under Jagan’s administration, describing it as an act of betrayal not only against him but against the entire nation.

Naidu expressed deep concern over the loss of investor confidence in Amaravati, attributing it to the policies of the YSRCP government. He noted that Hyderabad was made a common capital for ten years but now solely belongs to Telangana. He lamented that Amaravati, which was supposed to flourish, is now struggling due to the fear instilled in investors by the current regime. He emphasized the need to re-engage with the Singapore government to revive investments and restore the lost brand image of Amaravati.

Expressing his anger towards Jagan, Naidu accused him of ruining the future of generations with his governance. He questioned why the people of the state had to suffer such destruction in their capital and whether Jagan deserves to remain in power. He pointed out that Amaravati’s condition has not improved over the past five years and instead has faced significant setbacks.

Naidu further alleged that the destruction began immediately after Jagan came to power in 2019, starting with the demolition of Praja Vedika. This was followed by the controversial announcement of three capitals and various committee recommendations, which Naidu claims halted numerous developmental projects. He accused the government of damaging Amaravati’s brand image through these actions.

Highlighting the economic and developmental concerns, Naidu pointed out the financial losses incurred due to stalled projects like the Happy Nest project, which has seen increased costs and reduced profits. He contrasted this with the development of Hyderabad under his leadership, expressing worry over the decreased wealth creation in Andhra Pradesh. He reiterated his commitment to positive thinking and development, stating that he would resume progress from where it was halted, accepting any constructive advice to achieve this goal.
