Arum Equity Partners to Invest ₹3,350 Crore in Hyderabad for AI-Powered Green Data Center

In a significant boost to Hyderabad’s tech infrastructure, Arum Equity Partners has announced a massive investment of $400 million (approximately ₹3,350 crore) to establish a next-generation, artificial intelligence-powered green data center in the city. This investment, to be rolled out in phases, marks a major step in enhancing Hyderabad’s position as a leading data center hub.

The announcement follows a highly successful visit by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to the United States, which garnered substantial interest from global investors. Eleven companies have already committed to investing in Telangana, with many agreeing to collaborate on various projects.

During the visit, Arum Equity Partners CEO and Chairman Venkat Bussa met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT Industries Minister Sridhar Babu. The company outlined its plans to develop a state-of-the-art 100 MW AI-based data center, an expansion from its previous annual investment plan of ₹400 crore. The new facility is expected to bridge the digital services gap between rural and urban areas and enhance accessibility to government services such as e-service, e-payment, and e-education.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting that the establishment of the AI-based green data center will create significant employment opportunities and contribute to the city’s growing reputation as a data center hub.

Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed the investment, noting that it would drive further growth in Hyderabad’s tech sector. Bussa emphasized that the advanced data center would play a crucial role in improving digital connectivity and services across the region.
