Telangana Government Announces 12-Day Dussehra Holidays for Schools
Hyderabad, September 19: The Telangana state government has declared a 12-day holiday for schools in celebration of the Dussehra festival. The holidays will begin on October 2 and continue until October 14, with schools set to reopen on October 15, according to a directive from the School Education Department.
The Bathukamma festival, which is celebrated with much fervor across the state, will commence on October 2 with Angilipula Bathukamma and culminate on Durgashtami with Saddula Bathukamma on October 10. Two days later, on October 12, the Dussehra festival will be observed.
This extended holiday period provides students and families the opportunity to enjoy both Bathukamma and Dussehra festivities.
