Delhi, November 14, 2024
In a major step towards transforming education in the national capital, Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi Marlena inaugurated the largest government school of international standards in Sunder Nagar. This new school, which has been constructed in a densely populated area on land reclaimed from encroachment, is designed to serve over 7,000 students with state-of-the-art facilities.

Marking Children’s Day with this significant occasion, CM Atishi shared photos of the new school on the platform X, expressing her pride and happiness in dedicating this institution to the students of Delhi. She highlighted that the school includes 131 classrooms, seven specialized labs, a library, a lecture hall, and elevators, all designed to create an enriching learning environment.

The inauguration of this school is yet another achievement for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, which has made education a priority in Delhi. Over recent years, Delhi’s education model has gained national and international recognition, setting a benchmark for other states. The AAP government, under the guidance of national convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has worked extensively to provide high-quality education to students from all socio-economic backgrounds, transforming government schools into centers of excellence.

“People of Delhi know that only a leader like Arvind Kejriwal could envision and implement such an advanced government school,” said CM Atishi, adding that she hopes the public will continue to support a government that prioritizes education.

This focus on upgrading government school infrastructure not only provides a high standard of learning but also ensures that students from economically weaker sections have access to resources previously only available in private institutions. Through initiatives like this, the Delhi government aims to foster an inclusive and world-class educational environment, ultimately shaping a brighter future for thousands of young minds.
