Bijapur: Two Maoists Killed in Encounter with Security Forces

Bijapur, Chhattisgarh – In a joint operation, security forces from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Bastar police engaged in an exchange of fire with Maoists in the forested area under the Gangalur police station limits.

During the encounter, two Maoists were killed. The deceased have been identified as Pandu Madvi, Deputy Commander of the Gangalur Area Committee Platoon, and Munga Nayapara.

Security forces recovered a 9mm pistol, a tiffin bomb, a cooker bomb, explosives, and various daily-use items from the scene.

District Superintendent of Police confirmed the incident, stating that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat Maoist activity in the region. Security personnel remain vigilant to prevent further incidents.
