Telangana Government Constitutes Advisory Committee for Development Planning
Hyderabad, February 14, 2025: The Telangana Government has constituted an Advisory Committee for the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) to enhance economic and social sector planning in the state. A Government Order (G.O. Ms. No. 2) issued by the Planning Department outlines the formation of the committee, which will support short-term and long-term planning through gap analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
The committee will be chaired by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Planning and will include eminent academicians and experts:
- Prof. Kancha Ilaiah
- Prof. Shantha Sinha
- Prof. Himanshu
- Dr. Sukhadeo Thorat
- Sri Nikhil Dey
- Sri Praveen Chakravarty
- Prof. Bhukya
- Prof. Purushotham Reddy
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TGDPS will serve as the Secretary to the committee. The Chairman will have the authority to invite subject experts for consultations as required. The committee’s activities will be funded by TGDPS. Further details on the terms and conditions of the members’ appointments will be issued separately.
The G.O. was issued in the name of the Governor of Telangana by Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary to the Government (FAC).
