Hyderabad Metro Rail Announces Revised Fare Structure Effective May 17, 2025
Hyderabad, May 15, 2025 – L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has announced a revised fare structure for the Hyderabad Metro Rail, set to take effect from May 17, 2025, as mandated by the Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002. The new fare structure was recommended by the Fare Fixation Committee (FFC), constituted under the chairmanship of a former High Court Judge, vide Government of India letter No. K-14011/29/2018-MRTS-II dated September 5, 2022.
The FFC submitted its report on January 25, 2023, proposing a revised fare structure after carefully balancing affordability and financial sustainability. As per Section 37 of the Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002, the recommendations of the FFC are binding on the Metro Railway Administration. The updated fare structure is as follows:
