Drunk Woman Drives Car on Railway Track Near Shankarpally, Halts Bengaluru-Hyderabad Trains
Hyderabad/Shankarpally, June 26: In a shocking and bizarre incident on Thursday morning, a woman believed to be intoxicated drove her car onto a railway track near Shankarpally in Telangana, mistaking it for a regular road. The reckless act triggered panic among railway staff and locals, leading to a temporary suspension of train services between Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, aggressively refused to stop when alerted by locals. In a disturbing turn, she even threatened bystanders with a knife who attempted to intervene. Her erratic drive came to a halt only after the car veered off the tracks and crashed into nearby trees, shattering its windows.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. However, the disruption caused significant delays to train services on the crucial Bengaluru-Hyderabad route, inconveniencing hundreds of passengers.
Railway officials and law enforcement authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and eyewitness accounts are being collected to determine how the woman gained access to the restricted railway track and what motivated her alarming actions.
