Hyderabad, June 30: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to formulate a comprehensive and transparent policy for the allocation of lands to various mutts within the jurisdiction of the Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam at Yadagirigutta, while ensuring that the ownership rights of the land remain with the temple.
The Chief Minister issued the directions during a high-level review meeting on the development of the Yadagirigutta temple held at the MCR HRD Bhoomi Pavilion. He instructed officials to study the land allocation policy followed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and adopt a similar framework for Yadagirigutta.
Revanth Reddy also suggested that land be allotted at the prevailing market price to the Hare Rama Hare Krishna (Charitable) Foundation for its proposed activities in Yadagirigutta.
The Chief Minister directed officials to prepare a list of individuals and organisations interested in constructing guest houses on the temple hill. He said permissions should be granted in phases by following the TTD model and called for the formulation of clear regulations governing land allotment to caste associations.
To accelerate infrastructure development, the Chief Minister instructed officials to immediately release funds required for land acquisition for various development works within the temple limits.
He also ordered a detailed examination of the engineers’ committee report on the construction of the Yadagirigutta temple and asked officials to submit a comprehensive report within one week.
Emphasising the importance of tourism, Revanth Reddy directed officials to develop the Yadagirigutta tourism circuit under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to promote religious tourism and improve visitor facilities.
The review meeting was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Vem Narender Reddy, MPs Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and Kunduru Raghuvir Reddy, Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah, MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyer, Endowments Commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao, Principal Secretary (Finance) Sandeep Kumar Sultania, CMO Secretary Manik Raj, CMO OSD Vemula Srinivasulu, and senior officials from the Yadadri district administration and temple authorities.
