In a closely contested electoral battle, the Karnataka State Assembly election results have been declared, with the Indian National Congress (INC) emerging as the leading party. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fell short of expectations, while the Janata Dal Secular (JDS) secured a significant number of seats.

Out of the total 224 seats, the INC secured a strong victory with 122 seats, establishing its dominance in the state. The BJP secured 66 seats, while the JDS secured 30 seats. The remaining six seats were won by other smaller parties.

Analyzing the regional results, Greater Bangalore, an important region, witnessed a closely contested battle. Out of the 28 seats, the BJP secured 14, while the Congress closely followed with 13 seats. The JDS managed to secure only 1 seat in this region.

In Central Karnataka, the Congress performed well by securing 16 seats, surpassing the BJP, which managed to win only 7 seats. The JDS and other parties won one seat each.

The coastal region of Karnataka saw a significant victory for the BJP, securing 13 seats, while the Congress managed to win 5 seats. The JDS won one seat in this region.

Celebrations @Gandhi Bhavan Hyderabad

In Hyderabad Karnataka, the Congress emerged as the leading party, securing 24 seats out of the total 41. The BJP secured 11 seats, followed by the JDS with 4 seats. Two seats were won by other parties.

In North Karnataka, the Congress dominated with 28 seats, while the BJP won 19 seats. The JDS secured 2 seats, and one seat was won by another party.

Old Mysore witnessed a substantial victory for the Congress, securing 36 seats, followed by the JDS with 19 seats. The BJP won only 4 seats in this region, and two seats were won by other parties.

The Karnataka State Assembly election results reflect a significant shift in political dynamics, with the Congress emerging as the leading party. However, the BJP still holds a strong presence and the JDS managed to secure a considerable number of seats, making them important players in the state’s politics.
