New Delhi, May 23: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi embarked on a truck ride in Haryana from Murthal to Ambala to engage with drivers and gain insight into their challenges, according to party sources. In his ongoing series of interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds, Gandhi took the truck ride during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

Sources within the Congress revealed that Gandhi arrived in Murthal, Haryana, at around 11 p.m. From there, he commenced the truck ride around midnight, ultimately reaching Ambala. Along the journey, the Congress leader conversed with the truck drivers to better comprehend their issues and concerns.

During the discussions, Gandhi addressed various other matters that troubled the drivers and explored potential solutions. After arriving in Ambala, he proceeded towards Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, via road.

The party leadership has chosen to maintain a discreet stance on Rahul Gandhi’s late-night expedition. In recent weeks, Gandhi has been actively engaging with the public, visiting locales such as Bengali Market and the Jama Masjid area to savor local cuisine.

Moreover, he interacted with UPSC aspirants in North Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar and shared a meal with students at the PG Men’s Hostel in Delhi University. The Congress leader also visited the Shakur Basti area, where he discussed the inhabitants’ concerns, including the fear of eviction and challenges related to water supply, soaring prices of essential commodities, and unaffordability of LPG cylinders.
