Hyderabad, May 25: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has allocated Rs 105 crore for the upcoming decennial celebrations of Telangana state formation, set to commence on June 2.

During a meeting with district collectors at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, the Chief Minister declared that the funds will be disbursed to the collectors to facilitate state-wide festivities.

KCR emphasized the need for the 21-day celebrations to be executed on a grand scale, focusing on the sacrifices made by the martyrs and the remarkable achievements of the state over the past decade.

He acknowledged that the formation of Telangana was the outcome of a democratic and parliamentary struggle spanning six decades, and expressed pride in the rapid progress the state has achieved in a short span of time.

The day-long meeting witnessed the participation of ministers, government advisors, Chief Minister’s advisors, chief secretary, secretaries in the Chief Minister’s Office, district collectors, superintendents of police, Director General of Police, and other high-ranking officials.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that daily programs, ranging from the village to the state level, are carried out in a festive atmosphere. He provided guidance on the specific programs to be organized in villages, constituencies, and districts.

KCR urged district collectors to collaborate with ministers, MLAs, and other public representatives to ensure smooth execution of the celebrations.

On June 2, KCR will kick off the festivities by paying tribute to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park in Hyderabad. Subsequently, he will hoist the national flag at the Telangana Secretariat premises and deliver an address to the participants.

As per the previously announced schedule, daily programs will highlight the state’s progress in sectors such as electricity, agriculture, irrigation, healthcare, and industry.

These programs will also showcase the various welfare schemes implemented for farmers and other sections of the population.
