Congress Will Consider Appointing Seethakka as CM if Required, Affirms Revanth Reddy
New York, July 10, 2023: Telangana Congress Chief Revanth Reddy, while addressing a gathering of the North America Telugu Association (TANA), made noteworthy statements regarding the party’s stance on key issues. During the event, Reddy emphasized that the Congress party had initiated the Polavaram Project in Andhra Pradesh as well as the construction of Amaravati, the state’s capital city. He reaffirmed that completing these projects remained a fundamental objective for the Congress.
The occasion also saw NRIs pose thought-provoking questions to Revanth Reddy, including queries on the possibility of Dalits and Tribals holding the position of Chief Minister. Additionally, they inquired if Seethakka, a prominent figure within the party, would be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister in the event of a Congress victory in Telangana.
In response, Revanth Reddy explained that it is not customary to announce the Chief Ministerial candidate prior to elections. However, he expressed the potential for Seethakka to assume the role of Chief Minister if circumstances demanded. Reddy further conveyed his dedication to serving the people and requested the opportunity to do so in the upcoming elections. He appealed for necessary support and cooperation to bring the Congress party back to power in the forthcoming polls. Reddy also emphasized that viewing the party and himself as separate entities would be erroneous, stating that in Telangana, Revanth Reddy is synonymous with Congress, and vice versa.
As the Telangana Congress Chief outlines the party’s vision and clarifies its stance on key issues, political observers eagerly await the unfolding dynamics leading up to the upcoming elections.
