
Telangana State Horticultural University Promotes Economic Growth through Academic Curriculum

The Horticultural College in Rajendranagar, operating under the esteemed Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University, recently organized an enlightening conference on “Horticulture Trends in the International Market.” Dr. TV Nagendra Prasad, Ambassador Designate of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the conference, Dr. B. Neeraja Prabhakar, the University Vice-Chancellor, addressed the audience and underscored the university’s commitment to providing students with academic curricula that align with contemporary trends. This approach aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the economic progress of horticultural farmers.

Dr. Neeraja Prabhakar emphasized that the field of horticulture presents significant opportunities for students, encouraging them to explore entrepreneurial endeavors tailored to their interests and needs. She assured students that the university would offer comprehensive support to help them establish their own startups in the horticulture sector.
In his address to the students, Dr. TV Nagendra Prasad stressed the pivotal role of horticulture in rural development, emphasizing its potential to alleviate the challenges faced by farmers. He encouraged students to consider starting their own ventures and industries to contribute to the nation’s progress. Dr. Prasad highlighted the importance of staying updated with technology, citing that students in India are as capable as their international counterparts.

Dr. TV Nagendra Prasad pledged his support to students interested in civil services and urged them to work diligently to achieve their aspirations. He emphasized the value of practical knowledge over theoretical learning, urging students to pursue hands-on experiences. Dr. Prasad advocated for the incorporation of evolving technologies and artificial intelligence into horticultural education, underlining the need for ongoing experimentation. The event also featured the participation of PG Dean Dr. Rajasekhar, College Associate Dean Dr. Cheenanaik, OSA Dr. Sai Krishna Nikhil, Dr. Kaladhar Babu, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
