Mumbai, Sep 11: Fans of Telugu cinema can mark their calendars as the highly anticipated second installment of the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, titled ‘Pushpa: The Rule,’ featuring the Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, has officially confirmed its release date. The action-packed entertainer is all set to hit theaters on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, August 15, 2024.
The film’s makers unveiled an official poster on Monday to announce the release date, generating a buzz across social media platforms. This strategic release date, coinciding with the extended Independence Day weekend and Rakshabandhan holidays, is expected to provide the perfect opportunity to maximize box office returns.
Allu Arjun, known for his exceptional acting prowess, recently earned the Best Actor award at the 69th National Awards for his portrayal of Pushpa.
The first installment of the franchise, ‘Pushpa: The Rise,’ was released during the challenging period of the third wave of the pandemic. Despite these hurdles and cinema closures in many parts of India, the film emerged as a blockbuster, marking a significant turning point for the industry and drawing audiences back to theaters.
