Congress Leadership Gathers in Hyderabad for CWC Meeting

Hyderabad, Sep 16: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, along with top party stalwarts including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday to participate in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. The esteemed leaders arrived together and headed straight to the Taj Krishna hotel, the venue for the CWC meeting.

Upon their arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the Congress leaders were warmly welcomed by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, AICC Incharge for Telangana Manikrao Thakrey, State Congress Chief Revanth Reddy, and other prominent party figures.

The inaugural session of the newly-constituted CWC commenced in the afternoon. Notably, the meeting was attended by all CWC members except for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The primary agenda of this crucial gathering is to deliberate and formulate the party’s strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in five states, including Telangana, as well as preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Additionally, the CWC is scheduled to conduct an extended meeting on Sunday, which will include participation from all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leaders.

To cap off the weekend of political deliberations, a grand public rally is set to take place on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sunday evening. This rally will feature addresses by top leaders of the Congress party.

Furthermore, during the course of these proceedings, the party is poised to unveil its six guarantees specifically tailored for Telangana. Stay tuned for updates as these significant events unfold.
