Tragic Electrocution of Four-Year-Old Girl in Supermarket
NIZAMABAD, Oct 2 – In a heart-wrenching incident captured on CCTV, a four-year-old girl lost her life due to electrocution while attempting to open a refrigerator in a supermarket in Navipet mandal, Nizamabad district.
The devastating event unfolded on Monday when Rishita accompanied her father, Rajasekhar, to the supermarket. While her father was busy searching for ice cream, Rishita ventured to an adjacent fridge, seemingly in search of chocolates. Tragically, as she touched the refrigerator door, she was electrocuted.
Unaware of the shocking development, her father continued his quest for ice cream. A few seconds later, as he began to move, he discovered Rishita hanging from the fridge door, her hand still in contact with it. In a frantic rush, he picked up his daughter and hurried her to the hospital, but the doctors, unfortunately, declared her deceased.
In response to the tragic incident, the girl’s parents and relatives staged a protest in front of the supermarket, demanding accountability from the management for their alleged negligence. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
