Congress Party Considers Inclusion of Journalists’ House sites in Election Manifesto

Hyderabad, October 15: Revanth Reddy, the Congress Party’s State President, has assured representatives of the Deccan Journalists’ Housing Society (DJHS) that the party will examine the possibility of including journalists’ house sites in their election manifesto. He stated that the matter will be referred to the Manifesto Committee, led by Sridhar Babu.

During a meeting at his residence, Revanth Reddy discussed the matter with DJHS President Bolloju Ravi, Vice-President Maripala Srinivas, Treasurer Chilukuri Ayyappa, Directors G. Pratap Reddy, Danda Ramakrishna, and other members.

Revanth Reddy expressed the Congress party’s positive stance regarding the allocation of houses for journalists. DJHS President Bolloju Ravi advocated for the allocation of 300 square yard plots of land to each journalist working in Hyderabad, financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs for constructing houses, and a monthly pension for retired journalists. He also requested a pension facility for 10,000 journalists, free education for journalists’ children from kindergarten to postgraduate level in both government and private educational institutions, and the implementation of health schemes for journalists and their families, akin to government employees.
