Hyderabad, November 10: The controversy surrounding the Congress BC Declaration, initiated by Revanth Reddy, has taken a new turn as BRS leader Dasoju Sravan expressed his views on Twitter. Critics have accused the party of insincere motives, claiming the declaration is a political maneuver rather than a genuine commitment to Backward Classes’ welfare.
Revanth Reddy’s comments, interpreted by some as being inspired by ancient texts and demons, drew sharp criticism. Allegations surfaced that the Congress leader treated BC tickets as commodities, raising doubts about the party’s dedication to Backward Classes.
Despite the BC Declaration being promoted as a showcase of Congress’s support for BCs, critics argue it lacks evidence of genuine dedication. The brochure released with the declaration is under scrutiny for not featuring any photos of prominent state BC leaders, casting doubt on the party’s sincerity.
Key leaders, including Madhu Yashki, V. Hanumantha Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, Nuthi Srikanth, Anjan Kumar Yadav, and Mahesh Kumar Goud, were notably absent from the brochure, intensifying concerns about the party’s commitment.
Controversy deepened over seat allocations for BCs, initially set at 34 but later reduced to 22. Accusations of favoring individuals from the Reddy community over BC seats have fueled discontent within the party and among the public.
The controversy questions the Congress party’s sincerity towards BC welfare, with critics raising concerns about potential exploitation and a lack of transparency in decision-making processes.
