### Kia Launches K-Charge Initiative with Over 1000 Charging Stations in India New Delhi, 06 December 2023: Kia India, a prominent premium car manufacturer, has introduced the innovative K-Charge initiative, available through the ‘MyKia’ app, featuring over 1000 EV charging stations nationwide. Breaking industry norms, Kia extends access to non-Kia customers, aiming to alleviate Range Anxiety for all Indian EV users.

This move aligns with Kia’s dedication to enhancing customer services through a consolidated and user-friendly smartphone app. In collaboration with five charging point operators (CPOs) – Statiq, ChargeZone, Relux Electric, Lion Charge, and E-Fill, Kia ensures a robust EV infrastructure. A special tie-up with Relux Electric offers Kia customers three months of free charging through their stations. The ‘MyKia’ app, facilitated by NumoCity Technologies, integrates these CPOs, streamlining EV services for users.

The K-Charge initiative introduces advanced features, including technology integration for added user convenience. The app allows users to discover, locate, and even pay for charging services within the platform. Utilizing the services of Made-in-India map provider Map My India, customers can view charging station availability and preferences seamlessly.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, emphasized that K-Charge is a step towards making sustainable mobility accessible to everyone. Kia envisions a smooth transition to a complete EV future, and K-Charge, integrated into the ‘MyKia’ app, is a strategic move in that direction. Kia plans to expand the charging network further by onboarding new CPOs in the future, contributing to the acceleration of electric vehicle adoption in India.

Under the ‘EV for All’ vision, Kia aims to achieve an annual sales target of one million EVs by 2026, further expanding to 1.6 million units annually by 2030. Kia has already outlined its EV strategy in India, including the launch of global EV models and a locally manufactured EV in the RV body style by 2030.
