Telangana CM Visits KCR in Hospital, Wishing Speedy Recovery

Hyderabad, December 10: In a gesture transcending political differences, newly appointed Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited his predecessor, K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), at Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda on Sunday. KCR, who recently underwent hip replacement surgery following a fracture sustained at his farmhouse on December 7, was greeted by Revanth Reddy along with Minister Seethakka and former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir.

Accompanied by hospital staff, Revanth Reddy ascended to the ninth floor to meet the president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). During the brief 10-minute visit, he also met KCR’s son, K.T. Rama Rao, before expressing well wishes for the speedy recovery of the former Chief Minister.

Revanth Reddy shared with the media that he had directed the Chief Secretary and relevant officials to ensure KCR receives the best possible medical care. “I wish that he recovers at the earliest and comes to the Assembly to speak on people’s issues. There is a need for his suggestions to provide good governance to people,” he stated.

KCR, who suffered a hip fracture in a bathroom accident, underwent successful hip replacement surgery on December 8. Doctors at Yashoda Hospital reported a speedy recovery, and it is anticipated that KCR may be discharged within 2-3 days.

Since KCR’s admission, the Chief Minister had instructed Health Secretary S.A. M. Rizvi to oversee and guarantee that KCR receives all necessary medical assistance. The visit by Revanth Reddy signifies a moment of unity, putting aside political differences for the sake of expressing solidarity and concern for the health of the former Chief Minister.
