Bhopal, Dec 11: In a significant development, Mohan Yadav has emerged as the chosen candidate for the position of Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh. This decision was reached during the legislative party meeting held at the state BJP headquarters in Bhopal.
Alongside Yadav, former minister Rajendra Shukla and the outgoing Finance Minister have been appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers, bringing a seasoned team to the forefront. Adding to the leadership lineup, senior BJP figure and former Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been entrusted with the role of Speaker in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
At 58 years old, Yadav secured victory in the Assembly elections from Ujjain South and previously served as the Higher Education Minister in the outgoing Cabinet led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Notably, his proximity to Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, who played a pivotal role as the in-charge for the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, adds a strategic dimension to this leadership transition.
