Visakhapatnam, Dec 14: A fire engulfed the Indus Hospital in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, leading to reports of several patients trapped inside the facility. Four fire tenders are currently on the scene, working to extinguish the blaze, while firefighting personnel, police, and other rescue workers are actively involved in evacuation and rescue operations.
Approximately 40 patients have been shifted to other hospitals, and further details on the incident are awaited. The fire is believed to have originated from the first floor of the hospital situated at Jagadamba Circle in the port city. Initial assessments suggest a short-circuit as the potential cause of the fire.
