“Empowering BC Engineers: Advocating for Fair Government Representation”

Hyderabad, December 25 – The BC Engineers Federation submitted a petition to Telangana BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, urging for 50 percent representation in nominated posts across government departments based on population statistics. Emphasizing priority for BC Engineers in promotions and key positions, President Devalla Sammaiah and General Secretary Satish Kotte presented the petition to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday.

The BC Engineers Federation extended best wishes to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and the Congress government for their commitment to public trust. Acknowledging the state’s economic challenges, the Federation expressed optimism in the leadership’s ability to address the concerns of BC Engineers, who have faced inadequate representation during the past decade.

Highlighting the significant BC population, constituting about 60% in Telangana, the Federation stressed the need for fair treatment in promotions, transfers, and appointments to focal positions. Addressing Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the Federation urged government secretaries to examine the matter and ensure a minimum representation of 50% for BC castes in all government departments and nominated posts based on population proportions.
