Hyderabad December 25
In a tragic incident in Vikarabad district, a car carrying a group of five individuals, all belonging to an NRI family with a background in software, met with a serious accident. The vehicle crashed into Shiva Reddy’s peta pond during the early hours of the morning while en route from Vikarabad to Hyderabad. The accident was attributed to a combination of high speed and challenging road conditions caused by smoky snow.
Miraculously, four occupants of the car—identified as Sagar, Raghu, Mohan, and Poojita—were successfully rescued from the pond. They are currently undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in Vikarabad, emphasizing the critical need for immediate medical attention.

Regrettably, Gunasekhar, another occupant of the car, was not as fortunate and was lost in the pond. Subsequently, local authorities initiated search operations to locate the missing individual. The police have been diligently conducting search and rescue efforts to find Gunasekhar and bring closure to this distressing incident.
Despite the grim circumstances, the effective coordination of emergency response teams led to the retrieval of the submerged car from the pond. A crane was utilized to extricate the vehicle, marking a crucial step in the ongoing operations.
As the search for Gunasekhar continues, the community is urged to stay informed about road conditions and exercise caution, especially in adverse weather situations. This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for vigilance during challenging driving conditions.
