The incident occurred in one of the cabins of the vessel, affecting an area of approximately 30 square meters.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, and there is no threat to the nuclear plant of the container ship, according to a statement from the emergency department of the Murmansk region. The Sevmorput holds the distinction of being the world’s only icebreaking transport ship equipped with a nuclear power plant.
