In a proactive measure to address the challenges posed by dense fog during the winter season, Tata-owned Air India has unveiled its FogCare initiative, allowing passengers flying to and from Delhi airport to reschedule or cancel bookings at no additional cost if their flights face major delays.
As part of this initiative, Air India aims to provide prompt assistance to affected passengers, offering flexible options for rescheduling or canceling tickets without imposing extra charges. Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, emphasized that FogCare is a dedicated effort to minimize inconvenience for guests affected by fog-related disruptions, ultimately contributing to the integrity of the airline’s network schedule.

The announcement comes as Delhi grapples with a thick blanket of dense to very dense fog, severely limiting visibility to less than 50 meters. Over 40 flights, including international and domestic departures and arrivals, have experienced delays due to the ongoing weather conditions. The FogCare initiative reflects Air India’s commitment to passenger welfare during adverse weather situations.
