A Tesla Model X sports utility vehicle (SUV) recently made waves on Bengaluru roads, capturing attention as images of the red-coloured electric vehicle surfaced on social media platforms. The vehicle was seen near Minsk Square, close to the Cubbon Park metro station, in two distinct snapshots—one depicting the car at a traffic signal and the other in motion.

The post garnered significant user engagement, with some observers noting that the vehicle might not have been on a test drive, given its Dubai license plate. One user clarified, “It’s not a test drive; someone is on an official visit and driving his car from Dubai, which is very much allowed for a limited period.” Another user mentioned, “Looks more like a private car registered in Dubai,” highlighting the varied perspectives.
In related news, speculations are rife that Elon Musk’s Tesla could announce the establishment of an Electric Vehicle (EV) supply system manufacturing plant in Gujarat during the upcoming ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit’ next month. Reports suggest that the announcement might take place in the presence of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the flagship event scheduled from January 10-12.
As per sources, the state government has proposed Sanand, Becharaji, and Dholera as potential sites for Tesla’s manufacturing plant in Gujarat. Previously, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu were under consideration for setting up Tesla’s EV plant.
