South Sena Urgently Appeals to Chief Minister Reddy Against Northern Dominance in South India

Hyderabad, January 05

In a fervent plea to address the escalating influence of North Indians in South India, South Sena, represented by President Ravi, General Secretary Srinivas, Joint Secretary Srikanth, Treasurer Ramesh, and Member Jayesh, has urgently sought the support of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The organization is deeply concerned about the significant control exerted by individuals from northern states in various sectors across southern cities, adversely impacting the socio-economic fabric of the region.

The Chief Ministers of South Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, are being urged to unite in response to the pressing concerns raised by South Sena.

The infiltration of North Indians has reached alarming proportions, with cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Trivandrum witnessing a notable dominance, leading to a decline in opportunities for the local populace. South Sena emphasizes the severe threat posed to southern businesses, particularly in traditional sectors, as local traders find it increasingly challenging to compete.

President Ravi presented a set of urgent requests to Chief Minister Reddy:

  1. Control Immigration: Implement measures to curb the influx of North Indians into South India.
  2. Local Employment: Prioritize employment opportunities for South Indians in all companies.
  3. Business Protection: Safeguard South Indian businesses and prevent the dominance of North Indians in various sectors.
  4. Film Industry Representation: Provide opportunities for South Indians in the film industry.
  5. Regional Cinema Promotion: Reserve theaters for southern films and discourage the preference of Hindi movies.
  6. Civil Services Representation: Ensure key civil service positions are occupied by South Indians.
  7. Optional Hindi Education: Make Hindi a subject of choice rather than a mandatory imposition on students.
  8. Political Representation: Address the disparity in political representation at the national level, prioritizing leaders from the south.
  9. Fair Redistribution of Constituencies: Prevent injustice in the 2026 constituency redistribution, safeguarding the political and economic interests of South India.
  10. Equitable Distribution of Funds: Reinvest tax revenues from southern states in the region to prevent economic disparities.

South Sena earnestly seeks Chief Minister Reddy’s guidance and support in implementing these measures to protect the interests of South India. The organization highlights the crucial role of leadership in ensuring the prosperity and well-being of the region.
