Global Celebration Planned for Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha Ceremony
New York/Lucknow, Jan 11: The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram temple, scheduled for January 21 and 22, is set to be a global spectacle from Times Square in New York to Chowk in Lucknow.
Officials in Uttar Pradesh are collaborating with national agencies and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to identify key locations for comprehensive coverage. Meticulous preparations include live streaming of the ceremony across various cities, with rallies and shows supporting the temple planned in California, Washington, New York, Chicago, and various European and Canadian cities.
Iconic global landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris and Times Square in New York are expected to attract large crowds tuning into the live broadcast of the celebrations. The Times Square billboard will feature the event to engage a vast audience.
“On January 22, followers of Lord Ram can participate in the ceremony from anywhere, as the event will be showcased by the national broadcaster and will also be accessible online,” an official shared.
In Lucknow, traders’ associations, led by the UP Adarsh Vyapar Mandal (UPAVM), are set to embellish the city with Hindu-themed banners, hoardings, and flags as part of the ‘Shri Ram Campaign’. The initiative aims to create a festive atmosphere reminiscent of Diwali, celebrating the “homecoming” of Lord Ram.
Traders plan to adorn major markets with flags, banners, large cutouts of Lord Ram, and replicas of the Ram temple. LED screens will be installed at various locations to broadcast live coverage of the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony, including the Saryu River ‘aarti’. Additionally, hymn recitals and provisions for providing food to devotees enroute to Ayodhya are part of the elaborate arrangements.
