AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi Criticizes AAP for Religious Practices, Alleges Alignment with RSS and BJP

Hyderabad, January 16: Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of AIMIM, has strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its decision to conduct Sundarkand Paths and Hanuman Chalisa recitations in every Assembly constituency of Delhi. Owaisi asserted that this move aligns with the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Expressing his disapproval of AAP’s decision to hold Sundarkand Paths on the first Tuesday of every month, Owaisi referred to the ruling party in Delhi as a ‘Chhota Recharge of RSS.’ He questioned whether this decision was influenced by the upcoming event on January 22 – the scheduled inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Owaisi reminded that AAP leaders had previously chosen to remain silent on issues like Bilkis Bano, emphasizing their focus on education and health matters. He questioned the relevance of Sundarkand Path to education or health, suggesting that the move was an attempt to divert attention from matters of justice.
Accusing AAP of lending full support to the Sangh’s agenda, Owaisi alleged that the party aimed to suppress discussions about Babri Masjid while concurrently endorsing Hindutva ideologies. He questioned AAP’s supposed differences from the BJP and claimed that there is no distinction between the two, labeling them as hypocrites engaging in competitive Hindutva politics.
Owaisi concluded by urging AAP leaders to reflect on their alignment with Narendra Modi’s path and their apparent deviation towards the politics of competitive Hindutva.
