Concerns Raised Over Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Performance at Davos 2024 Summit

In the wake of recent developments at the Davos 2024 Summit of the World Economic Forum, concerns have been voiced regarding the representation of Telangana’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy. Dr. Sravan Dasoju, a senior leader of the BRS, took to various platforms, including social media, to express apprehensions about the Chief Minister’s performance on the global stage.

Dr. Dasoju highlighted that the Chief Minister’s statements at the summit have been perceived as incoherent, inconsistent, and incompetent, potentially bringing dishonor to the state of Telangana. He specifically criticized Reddy’s comments on topics such as nuclear reactions, ring roads, and political matters, deeming them unintelligible and unsuitable for an international audience.

The BRS senior leader stressed that a state head attending the Davos Summit should demonstrate competency in economic policies, have a clear vision for development, ensure regulatory transparency, and commit to fostering a conducive business environment. Dr. Dasoju argued that Reddy’s remarks lacked the characteristics essential for attracting global investments, exposing a deficiency in administrative vision and maturity.

Moreover, Dr. Dasoju called for the intervention of experienced individuals accompanying Chief Minister Reddy to Davos, such as Jayesh Ranjan and E. VishnuVardhan Reddy. He suggested that these experts guide and educate Reddy on appropriate communication strategies for international forums to avoid any further embarrassment or damage to Telangana’s reputation.

The senior leader also questioned the role of IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, who possesses considerable experience and competence, and raised concerns about him being overshadowed in the delegation. Dr. Dasoju emphasized that sidelining Minister Sridhar Babu could have adverse consequences for the state, urging Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to better prepare himself for such global engagements.

As the discussions unfold, the concerns raised by Dr. Sravan Dasoju highlight the importance of effective communication, strategic representation, and collaboration within the delegation to secure investments for the future progress of Telangana.
