During a review meeting on health initiatives, the Chief Minister addressed concerns regarding the necessity of white ration cards for availing Arogyasri benefits. He noted a surge in demand for white ration cards due to this requirement and discussed the possibility of removing this mandate.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged officials to devise a unified policy for establishing nursing, physiotherapy, and paramedical colleges within medical college premises.

The meeting was attended by Health Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha, State Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Principal Secretary to the CM Seshadri, Joint Secretary to the CM Sangeeta Satyanarayana, Health Secretary Christina Chongthu, Commissioner Karnan, Director-General of Drug Control Kamalahasan Reddy, Arogyasri CEO Visalatchy, and other officials.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the significance of Bibinagar–AIIMS in providing comprehensive medical services to residents of Khammam, Warangal, and Nalgonda districts, thereby alleviating the burden on hospitals like Osmania and NIMS.

Directing officials to assess AIIMS and compile a comprehensive report, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed readiness to engage with the Union Health Minister to advocate for enhanced medical services at AIIMS.

Lastly, the Chief Minister urged officials to develop alternative healthcare facilities across the state to reduce dependence on Hyderabad for medical treatment.
