Telangana State Power Engineers Association Expresses Disappointment Over Budget’s Lack of Support for Employees’ Welfare

Hyderabad February

Telangana State Power Engineers Association (TSPEA) has voiced profound disappointment with the interim budget presented by the Central Government, citing a significant absence of measures to support the welfare of employees.

President P. Rathnakar Rao and Secretary General P. Sadanandam conveyed their concerns, highlighting the palpable dissatisfaction among employed individuals, particularly in light of escalating inflation. The TSPEA underscored the lack of adjustments in direct tax rates, including the unchanged limits of 80C and standard deductions, which failed to meet expectations amid the current economic climate.

Emphasizing a critical omission, the association pointed out the glaring absence of any mention regarding the restoration of the old pension scheme. This oversight, TSPEA lamented, reflects a disregard for the interests and concerns of the working class by the Central government.

The TSPEA’s critique underscores broader anxieties among employees regarding the government’s commitment to addressing their financial security and well-being. With concerns mounting over economic stability and future prospects, the TSPEA calls for greater attention to be paid to the plight of the workforce in upcoming budget deliberations.
