Hyderabad Angels Launches Rs 100 Crore Venture Capital Fund
New Delhi, Feb 12: Hyderabad Angels (HAF) unveiled its inaugural venture capital fund on Monday, boasting a Rs 100 crore investable corpus along with an additional green-shoe option of Rs 50 crore.
The Category 1 Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) aims to allocate up to Rs 5 crore across 20 disruptive startups poised for scalability through technology and AI, as per a company statement.
Managing Partners of HAF, Sri Myneni and Kishore Ganji, emphasized the platform’s collaborative approach, aiming to provide founders not only with financial support but also access to the collective wisdom of accomplished limited partners (LPs), who are successful entrepreneurs themselves.
The fund boasts a diverse group of LPs, including successful entrepreneurs and business leaders spanning pharma, health sciences, technology, education, sustainability, and other sectors.
BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder and Executive Chairman of Cyient, highlighted the importance of active engagement between LPs/investors and entrepreneurs in fostering successful businesses, drawing from his experience as an active investor in numerous venture funds and startups.
Mahankali Srinivas Rao (MSR), CEO of T-Hub, expressed confidence in HAF’s ability to leverage funds, engage directly with industry leaders, and tap into the vibrant startup ecosystem in Hyderabad to maximize potential.
